KABUL, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- A total of 130 people have been poisoned in the eastern Afghanistan Khost province, provincial government spokesman Mustaghfir Gurbaz said Thursday.
The accident occurred in Shamsi village of Jaji Maidan district on Wednesday evening, the official said, adding that medical teams have rushed to the area to provide medical aid to the affected individuals.
An investigation was launched to determine the reason for the accident, the official said. ■
