NEW DELHI, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Six women died when a speeding train mowed them down at a railway station in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, confirmed the local police.
The incident happened at the Chunar railway station in Mirzapur district when the women got down from the train on the tracks' side instead of the platform.
In an official statement, the North-east Central Railway confirmed the deaths of six passengers in an official statement. ■
