MADRID, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Thursday, with the benchmark index Ibex-35 up 0.25 percent, or 25.40 points, to close at 10,246.60 points.

A total of 18 of the selected 35 large companies rose in the day.

Spain's fourth largest bank Bankia advanced 2.15 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Technology solutions provider Amadeus was up 1.46 percent and Spain's third-largest bank Caixabank went up 1.14 percent.

Supermarket chain DIA lost 9.35 percent, being the top loser of the blue chips. Infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas was down 1.70 percent and hotel chain Melia Hotels went down 1.33 percent. Enditem
