BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices ended mixed in the morning session Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.02 percent to finish at 2,485.99 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.09 percent to end at 7,193.91 points at midday.
